We give thanks and praise unto the Lord for His rich blessings given to us on this sacred stunning Sunday morning. Today we celebrate and commemorate Mother’s Day. We realize that this day has been highly commercialized, but that does not alleviate the fact that it is a honorable day designed to give respect to the mothers of our lives. For the Bible teaches us to honor our mother and father that our days on the earth might be long. Therefore a day set aside to remember mothers, serves a worthwhile purpose and as a reminder of the value of those women who looked after our wellbeing and was instrumental in bringing us into the world. “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” Ephesians 6:1-3 NKJV. Let us therefore celebrate this day that serves as a memorial to our mothers whether they live or have made a transition from this world. Be blessed as you practice the principles.
